Last week we discussed Joe Biden’s inauguration chart, planned to take place on 20 January around noon (the usual time).This chart did not look too nice and this poses the question how previous inauguration charts showed what was going to happen. JF Kennedy’s presidency  is an obvious example, according to the data found on internet JFK’ s inauguration took place on 20 January (as usual), the precise time however was not 12:00 (as often) but 12:51. This produces the chart which can be viewed by clicking on the download-button below.

Striking the eye immediately is the Ascendant falling in the notorious crisis zone on the main star of the Pleiads, on Alcyone. The Pleiads are the Wheeping Sisters and there is not much positive to say about Alcyone, one of its key-words ia a violent death. As often in US inauguration charts Saturn is Lord 10 and it conjuncts Jupiter Lord 8 of death with a small orb of three degrees. With an even smaller orb Lord 8 sextiles Venus, as Lord 1 one of the most important hous rulers. Right on the MC Mercury is found, it is Lord 5 and the fifth house is the eighth derived from the tenth of the jobs, so the death of the job dominates the chart.  For every president there is always the real possibilty that he will have to leave before the end of his presidency, so we can see Lord 5 in this way.

Al Sad Al Abhiya

According to the Arabic lunar mansion system, the Moon is in Al Sad Al Abhiya, ruled by the Aquarius star Sadalmelek. The traditional texts on the Arabian mansions tend to be a bit veiled and seem to be quite corrupted but let it be clear that Sadalmelek is a very nasty star. Its key-words “extreme and sudden destruction” seem to be very appropriate  here. The ancient system of the 28 Arabian lunar mansions is based on the daily movement of the Moon to the background of the visible fixed stars. This fits the Moon as it especially symbolises earthly life. The Sun the other, higher Luminary stands for the heavenly and the divine, and it moves through an invisible so non-material zodiac.  

Part of Despair

The planet parts too contribute to the negative picture , the Mercury part (Asc – Part of Fortune + Pars Solis) is in opposition with Venus/ Lord 1. The Mercury part represents the essence of the planet’s energy, it is the  Part of Despair because here every connection with a higher dimension falls away, Mercury is the bare material fact and nothing more.

By checking the lunar returns calculated on the basis of the inauguration chart you can follow the presidency month by month and you can also see when  problems will arise. The lunar return before the murder on 22 November 1963 is crystal-clear (no picture given here). The Moon Lord 8 of Death in the lunar return is on the IC, Death Star Antares on the Ascendant, the nodal axis (entry / exit of life) on  the 2/8 (death) axis and star of fate Labrum, the poisoned Cup that will not pass you by on the MC!           

Donald Trump is still putting up fierce resistance, but it seems very unlikely that he will not have to leave the White House. The accusations of fraud and the legal procedures initiated by team Trump seem to serve another goal, mobilising supporters. When Trump will be ex-president, we will still hear from him and a group of loyal supporters who think they have been deceived would give him a firm basis to exert influence within and outside his party.

Maybe however, now that the Great Conjunctions (“GC’s) move into the Air signs definitively, the political seed-bed for Trump’s populism will slowly be exhausted. For it feeds on the resistance to the changes that the dawning Air times bring: globalisation, massive migration, the disappearance of the fossile industry, the end of indepedent nations and the shifting of the power centre to the East. The past twenty years have been tense and critical years of transition, the GC of 2000 fell in an Earth sign for the last time, in December this is really over.

The Curse

Maybe Trump should be glad, as in this way he will escape Tecumseh’s Curse. This allegedly was a curse spoken by a leader of the Indians Tecumseh (around 1812) that every president elected in a year that could be roundly divided by twenty would die in office. And this was what happened, until Ronald Reagan (1980) at least. Regan narrowly survived a murder attempt, as did G.W. Bush (2000), moreover Bush had to deal with  9/11. This suggests that astrology could partly explain the phenomenon, beause twenty years is the cycle of the GC’s and a new GC, always in a year which can be divided by twenty, will bring great changes.     

So a president elected in such a year will have to deal with the political tensions caused by these changes. This could partly explain death by murder but not by illness. So it remains a bit mysterious, what is certain is that Joe Biden has been elected in a time of high political tensions and in a year on which Tecumseh’s Curse rests, although Reagan (1980) and Bush (2000) survived the curse. So does Biden, who is quite old, run a risk? The chart of his inauguration, the birth of his presidency, in January may shed some more light on this (click on the download button below).

Inaugurations

The day, place and time of the inaugurations are always the same, only the years are different, so these charts look a lot like each other. To spot the specific charateristics of a presidency, only those factors should be delineated not automatically in a position because of the fixed date, time and place.  This immediately looks very worrying as Pluto is right on the MC and this is not something you would like to see at all! The MC also falls on Terebellum, a star of fate, but this does not count as  this is always so.

Venus, very important als Lord 1 is by antsicion (position mirrrored in the Cancer/Capricon axis) on cusp 8 of death and  it is placed on Wega in the Falling Grype, hmmm. Saturn also very important as Lord 10  conjuncts Jupiter Lord 8 of Death in the tenth house. Saturn squares violent Mars in Taurus in deteriment, on the violent Ram’s Horn Hamal on castrating Uranus in the hidden twelfth house. Not nice at all. So would Tecumseh’s Curse strike again?     

As we predicted more than once in the past two years, Donald Trump will have to leave the White House. He has not been re-elected and this will be extra painful because it does not happen too often that a president in office has to go. This correct prediction was done by several techniques but one of the best, certainly if we have a choice between two candidates, is the delineation of the lunar return. The chart of the month you will not be re-elected, will look a bit painful. This was so in Trump’s case, in his lunar return the South Node (painful limitation) was conjunct the Moon (the people) on his Ascendant, he will loose the people’s favour.

But also other techniques indicated it is not a good time for Donald Trump. The direction of his MC is moving over the progressed Saturn in its detriment in Leo, painful limitation again. Trump’s Firdar ruler is much less promising than four years ago, then it was the expansive North Node conjuncting his Sun/ Lord 1 in the natal chart, now it is the limiting South Node conjunct the Moon in the natal chart. This Moon is part of a lunar eclipse, so in the Firdar the Luminary that will go out is emphasized.

The Scorpion’s Heart

It is most instructive to note that the direction of the MC in his opponent’s chart moves over Antares, the Death Star that ends cycles. Here you can see how important context is. Anatres is the grim Scorpion’s Heart, the beast that stings to death the successful arrogant Hunter Orion, who deems himself invincible. That there was such an Orion in this situation is clear and then the myth works out in this way. Biden became the Scorpion because Trump very convincingly took the Orion-role. All these predictions and delineations were made far before the elections, the first prediction of the loss of Donald Trump was published two years ago, when his opponent was not even known.  

Tertiary

There is still another method to make a prediction on a month scale, the tertiary directions working on the basis of a 1 day = 1 month key (so if you move your chart forward one day, you are a month later in real time). As is well-known, the key for secondary progressions is 1 day = 1 year, and the tertiary directions are interpreted in exactly the same way, but then only on a month’s scale. This looks for Trump like this, click on the download button below to view his current tertiary directions. Note welll that this is not a chart to be delineated, it only gives tertiary positions. For the technicians: in the calculations a month is seen as period of 28 days because this corresponds better with the astrological/astronomical reality than the calendar month.

It strikes the eye that the Asc is just changing  sign and this is something you don’t want to see if your name is Donald Trump! For everything should stay as it is, butthis movement will bring a change. The ruler of the sign the Asc is leaving behind is Mars, very very strong natally, the ruler of the next sign is Venus Lord 10 of the job in his radix. It is this Venus that is activated by the sign change, and in Trump’s  natal chart  Venus/ Lord 10 is conjunct Saturn in its detriment, not very nice at all. It also leaves behind the positive expansive North Node, his Part of Fortune moves over his natal Ascendant in opposition with the tertiary Mars, indicating the battle. The PoF leaves Leo, no more Sun stuff. The fact it is also moving over mighty Regulus cannot compensate for this, on Regulus there is always the danger that the king will fall  from his throne because he was pushing on too ruthlessly.     

The Corona Horary

About a month ago on this blog as an exception, a horary chart was discussed (post of 26 September). In this horary the development of the Corona crisis in The Netherlands could be followed, but also the prediction was made that an improvement could be expected in early November. This is what we can see now, for days the number of reported new infections has not gone up and it is decreasing now.

In the horary this timing was shown by the Moon / Lord 1 (The Netherlands)  leaving its detriment in Capricorn. That is of course a considerable improvement, although the Moon in the horary still has 18 degrees to go through the shadows of the eighth house, so things will not be normalised overnight. For the many foreign readers of this blog, this is only so for The Netherlands! Everyone  should make a Corona horary for his own country, as there is so much difference. 

Attacks

Over the past days the news was dominated less by the US elections, as there was a series of terrorist attacks, two times in France and two days ago in Vienna. You can ask yourself if we can say something in general about this astrologically? The very tense situation in the world has to do with the cycles we gave attention to before, especially the Great Conjunctions of the chronocrators Saturn and Jupiter taking place in December, but also the conjunction of Pluto with the chronocrators. These Pluto conjunctions give a more detailed timing within the crisis situation. Saturn on Pluto in January indicated the start of the world-wide Corona crisis and now the third  Pluto-Jupiter conjunction of this year is almost full.

A conjunction is seen as a crisis moment in the cycle, as something new has to start and this cannot be but painful. It is striking that the Pluto-Jupiter cycle is aways associated with ecomic developments as Jupiter of course stands for wealth and growth. However, the cycle can also be connected  to terrorism as Jupiter is also convictions.  Both meanings seem to be very relevant at the moment. In a week Jupiter will perfect its conjunction with Pluto and this intensifies the frictions politicallly ( terrorism, very tense situation in the US) and economically (lockdowns). As we discussed before, after December the tensions will gradually decrease as we leave all the conjnctions of these important cycles behind.

Mercury

Today is election day in the US and  we will come back to this in the next post (Trump has claimed victory, but this is still uncertain) and the position of Mercury is striking. It is stationary so it can be expected it will all take more time, it is indeed the counting of the many votes which came in by mail that is very time-consuming.
